PLANEPRINT EDF Retract System – hidden power on demand

Silent soaring is what sailplanes are built for. But sometimes the air runs out – and when it does, you want thrust. The PLANEPRINT EDF Retract System lets you have both: a clean, drag-free fuselage in glide, and a EDF that deploys in seconds when you need it.

Instead of a conventional servo, our system uses a servoless retract unit to drive the EDF in and out of the fuselage. The result is cheaper, stronger, and more reliable than any servo-driven alternative.

Designed for retrofits

The system is also suitable for retrofitting into conventional wooden and fiberglass fuselages. You'll need to install a support frame (made of wood, for example) and cut out a section of the fuselage to serve as a cover.
